Cicatrici non è solo realizzare piccole ma significative statue, rielaborando le forme della Venere e del David, ma rendere vive e reali le impronte indelebili delle nostre esistenze. La mia Venere indossa dei simboli, oltre alle cicatrici fisiche
rimaste impresse sul corpo in seguito alle cure: un piccolo fumetto che esce dalla testa su cui è scritto “Be proud of who you are” (sii fiero di ciò che sei) e un ciondolo a forma di fiocco di neve che rappresenta le delicate ma pungenti materializzazioni di freddo.
La Venere che ho voluto creare rappresenta me ma desidera farsi portatrice di un messaggio rivolto a chiunque la guardi: “Ciò che lascia un segno ci può anche rendere migliori”.
Venus beyond the surface
Scars is not only about producing small but meaningful statues, re-working the forms of the Venus and the David, but it is also about bringing to life the indelible imprints of our lives.
My Venus is wearing symbols, in addition to the physical scars left on the body following treatments: a little cartoon coming out of her head that says “Be proud of who you are” and a pendant in the form of a snowflake which represents the delicate but biting reality of cold.
The Venus that I have created represents me but wants to be the bearer of a message for whoever looks at her: “What leaves a mark can also make us better.”
